Films at the Farm: BLACK DYNAMITE

Our 70's focus continues with this Blaxploitation parody that pokes fun at the best and worst aspects of that genre of films

BLACK DYNAMITE

Directed by Scott Sanders

2009 • 84 min

with Michael Jai White, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Arsenio Hall, Obba Babatundé, Bryon Minns, Kym Whitley, Tucker Smallwood, and Tommy Davidson as Cream Corn

This hilarious parody and homage to 1970’s Blaxploitation action movies features Michael Jai White as the titular action hero Black Dynamite. When his (surprise!) brother is killed by The Man, as they simultaneously pump heroin into community orphanages and sell unadulterated malt liquor in the ghetto, it’s up to our hero Black Dynamite to use his soul brother brand of kung-fu take the fight from the blood-soaked streets all the way to the hallowed halls of the Honky House.

Rated R for sexuality/nudity, language, some violence and drug content
